A cryptic is a animal which existence is disputed. I think the most recent is the Coelcanth?

I don’t know the most recently discovered cryptid. By “discovered” do you mean suggested existence or proven existence?
I think that the colossal squid used to be a cryptid, but its existence was proved a long time ago.
Actually it was proven in 2005, so pretty recently actually. As for the coelacanth, it was discovered in 1938, so I’m gonna say the giant squid.
Devin, you are also disproven by science. The giant squid’s existence has been proven since the 50s. Nice try, though.
You have also been disproven by science. The giant squid, yes, was discovered in the 1950s. But the first pictures ever taken of a living one were taken on September 30, 2004, and they were confirmed in 2005. Key word: living.
